I am a software engineer and open source contributor. I have worked in software for the last 10 years.
Unlike some professional Software Engineers - I really, really like coding with AI.
I like it so much that I spent a large part of 2023 working on the agentic AI software engineer GPT Engineer, now known as Lovable.
One key learning is that when working with open source components, tech products, and private libraries - much like human developers - LLMs produce much better code if they actually read the damn docs first!
Currently, getting LLMs to read the docs means tediously copying and pasting from websites into AI chats or coding tools.
That’s why I created Wyst - to make searching for and using code docs with LLMs easier.
